Exploring Creation in Anthropology
by Todd Elder
Anthropology is the branch of sciece that studies mankind and human culture. It usually includes the four subfields of physical biology, linguistics, society and culture, and archaeology.
The Science of Anthropology
Anthropology in the Earth Sciences Most of the Earth's surface is uninhabitable to mankind because of oceans, ice, or deserts. Many areas are also difficult because of factors like steep mountains. Through inventions to help regulate food, water, and shelter mankind has spread through different climates and much of the land surface of the Earth. Man is able to effect the environment and surroundings by building or destroying habitats.
Anthropology in the Biologigcal Sciences The study of man reveals a complex organism. Although many external differences occur in appearance, only one kind is found to exist throughout the entire world.
Anthropology in the Model of Creation The study of anthropology gives strong evidence for a special creation and a young Earth. Regarding mankind, this is shown through human artifacts in the fossil record, linguistic records, and the appearance of man and dinosaurs together.
